Designs of imaging systems.

I want to show here my ability to complete an optical design. The key features of design imaging systems are choosing a start design and its optimization using merit function until required optical performance is obtained. The start design should include enough lenses to achieve a balance of aberrations. The designs shown here were not sold, or permissions to their publications were obtained from my prior clients:    
  • The design of the eyepiece for an ophthalmic surgical microscope is shown in the link below. The eyepiece has the range of adjustment from -6 Diopters to +6 Diopters.

  • The design of the compact wide FOV camera is shown in the link below. Optics of the camera includes three aspherical plastic lenses and a single spherical glass lens.The design includes tolerance, ghost image, and thermal analyses.

Some of my clients do not have a strong background in optical design. But, it is essential to know aberration theory for understanding the optical design process. I have not found the article that presents a short explanation of the theory. So, I wrote the article. It can be found in the link below.
